AndrewFitzgerald.com Registered
Whilst buying a new domain todoish.com, Godaddy oh-so-wonderfully let me know that (myname).com was available. Now normally these last minute checkout sales don’t interest me, but this was obviously a bit different. I was actually surprised to see this, as last time I checked, it was taken. Apparently some not-so bright Andrew Fitzgerald forgot to renew - nice.
That’s about it. Oh - thanks to a coupon for dotcom domains, I scored both for less than $15. Again, nice.

Nice buy! Someone has been holding on to my full name since 2003, and has registered through 2011, so consider yourself lucky!

Wow, ugh that sucks man.
I don’t know though, I already have so many domains that I don’t know what to do with. Oh well, it’s one of those gotta haves.

Dont you think the original owner of AndrewFitzgerald.com has some rights.
Shouldnt you buy it off him or her?
Is a policy of ‘Devil-take-the -weakest’ the best way to run any business?

I appreciate where you’re coming from, and in this scenario, I don’t think that is really the case. It was left unregistered for quite a while and the original site wasn’t really being used, so the intent and context wasn’t of anything malicious.
I could understand if was somebody’s business and a company name, and I did it just to get money and nab it from them, but that wasn’t the case.
