I appreciate where you're coming from, and in this scenario, I don't think that is really the case. It was left unregistered for quite a while and the original site wasn't really being used, so the intent and context wasn't of anything malicious.

I could understand if was somebody's business and a company name, and I did it just to get money and nab it from them, but that wasn't the case.

Dont you think the original owner of AndrewFitzgerald.com has some rights.
Shouldnt you buy it off him or her?
Is a policy of 'Devil-take-the -weakest' the best way to run any business?

I am writing to recommend a brand new movie called THE OPUS that is bound to become just as popular as The Secret. I have no doubt that it will not be long until it appears on everywhere you look. Including the Oprah Winfrey show. This film is being called by many as The Next step to The Secret. I think it is even more than that. It is a practical, inspiration, no-nonsense approach to creating an incredible life legacy and reaching your greatest personal success.

The film features many of the cast from The Secret returning. Joe Vitale, Jack Canfield, John Demarinti, Marci Shimoff, Morris “the Miracle Man” Goodman and others.

The films official website is at www.TheOpusMovie.com and they have several very interesting clips that are worth watching where people are giving their beaming reviews that this show will be “bigger than The Secret.” You can also get copies of the film and sign up as an affiliate to help spread the word of this amazing film.

The movie is so full of inspirational power. Here are just a few lines from the film:

“Most people deceive themselves. Most people settle for something less than what they really want.” – Dr. Joe Vitale

“The size of your thinking determines the size of your results, if you have vastly big thinking, you have vastly big results.” – Mark Victor Hansen

“Your greatest moment can be measured by three things that make it great. What moment will have the longest lasting effect on your future? Which moment will carry the greatest future consequence? Which moment will have the farthest reaching impact on you and those around you? You greatest moment therefore becomes the moment that you DECIDE. Decision changes everything.” – Douglas Vermeeren

“Your vitality in life is directly proportionate to the vividness of your vision.” Dr. John Demartini

“The law of attraction just says that ANYTHING we think, feel, say and do we attract to us. So, we’re always creating through what we are putting out in our thoughts, our feelings, our words and our actions.” – Marci Shimoff

“We will manifest into our lives what we expect.” – Dr. Joe Rubino

“If you can’t get the big picture, start with the small stuff.” – Jack Canfield

Hongli, thanks for the clarification on Passenger's default. I am aware rake has nothing to do with it, and assumed rake used the detected current ENV (somehow). Maybe it just wasn't detecting it for some reason?

Honestly it's been a good year since using Rails in production, in a completely different hosting setup, and I don't think I had to worry about it. But glad to know my (original) assumptions were correct, before my troubles.

Since then it appears to be running great - so awesome!

'rake' has got nothing to do with Phusion Passenger. It's a separate tool. Just like all Rails commandline tools, it respects the RAILS_ENV environment variable as the authoritative way to define the environment in which it operates. Phusion Passenger itself defaults to production environment.
